Warm Up Monday

This Monday morning is dark and dreary--- with a delightful drizzle coming down. So here's the hope that this picture of a bee heading for a summer flower brings a bit of summer sun to the day.

Busy as a Bee

A bee's job seems to become more urgent when the end of September looms.

Bee and Joe-Pyeweed

This guy was intent on sampling the flowers of the Joe-Pyeweed plant and wasn't worried about me a bit as I came in for a closeup.

The Eye of the Bee

While I was photoing this wildflower, this bee climbed up from the rear of the flower intent in its collection of the good stuff.

Bee's of Summer

This bee was in no hurry to collect its pollen and be on its way. It went about its business as if it had all day to stop and smell the flowers; dropping that busy as a bee lifestyle.

Oh...that Pollen!

This bee just couldn't get enough of this dandelion! He appeared to be hunkering down for the night and just loving it with his face buried in the center.

Dreamin

This morning the deer were shy, the sun was fighting the clouds, and the muddy gray of this winter wasn't very photogenic.

So I'm dreaming of August afternoons and honeybees....

The Butterfly and the bee

Things are busy out in the fields and woods. Summer is running out of time. Butterflies have to fill up and leave. Bees have to fill their winter nests.

Sometimes you just have to share a flower like this Monarch and bee did the other day. The bee ended up chasing the butterfly away. The butterfly was clearly annoyed and disgruntled.
